At Le Suffren, we believe in showcasing local talent and know-how, not only in the products we serve, but also in the way we dress our staff. That’s why we’re delighted to be working with Atelier Tuffery, an iconic French company in the garment industry.
The Tuffery workshop traces its roots back to the 19th century, when Célestin Tuffery, a master tailor, was looking for a way to dress the workers who had come to build the railroads in the Cévennes. He sourced indigo-dyed 100% cotton canvas in Nîmes, giving birth to the French jean in Florac in 1892.
Since then, the Tuffery workshop has preserved its family know-how and passed on its traditional techniques through the generations. This family-run company embodies the heritage of Made in France and its revival, while injecting a breath of modernity into France’s artisan heritage.
Le Suffren has chosen to dress its staff in garments from the Tuffery workshop, known for their exceptional quality and timeless style. The outfits are carefully crafted from sustainable raw materials that respect the environment and employee comfort.
By choosing the Tuffery workshop, we offer our team garments that combine tradition and modernity, while highlighting French know-how. It’s a way for us to support the local economy and shine the spotlight on our region’s talented artisans.
The partnership between Le Suffren and Atelier Tuffery is based on shared values such as respect for tradition, product quality and support for local craftsmanship. Together, we work to create a harmonious experience for our customers, both in terms of gastronomy and hospitality.
We invite you to come and enjoy the warm atmosphere of our Le Suffren restaurant, where our team, dressed by the Tuffery workshop, will be at your service to make you experience a moment of culinary pleasure. By choosing to support the Tuffery workshop, we are helping to preserve France’s craft heritage and promote talent.
